Dear Jay, Paul and Susan,

I am so sorry to hear about your mother. Karen Scullin told me and then I found this piece in the NYT. Your mom was so good to me: She had a surprise 15th birthday party for me at your house, she took me to my drivers test (cuz my mom would not!), and she was a good listener and friend to me esp. in my teens. I spent a lot of time at your home growing up and your mom always made me feel like I was family. God bless her... we lost another good one.
I hope you all are doing well and are happy.
Love to all,
Joanie Jennings
