I just came across this notice when I was wondering what TJ was up to. I am sad that TJ is gone and has been gone so long. I worked with him in the mid-1990s. I remember his smile. A good man.

I had the pleasure of knowing Taylor,(TJ) for seven years as he lived at the community I manage.
Taylor was always pleasant, and made a point to stop by and visit with myself and our staff.
He loved spending time at the pool, and made friends easily.
I would like to offer my heartfelt sympathies to his family and friends.
I will miss his smile and our visits.

To my best friend TJ.
For the first time in my life I'm speechless. I remember all the talks and laughs we had over the years. Your laugh and big smile will always be embedded in my memories of you. There are so many wonderful memories that I will hold dear to my heart. For as long as I knew you I remember you HAD to get a haircut every 10 days without fail! I'm sure your barber misses you dearly. I smile when I think of the first time you were in the hospital and I didn't recognize you because you hadn't had your 10 day haircut. I told you- OH TJ you would just die if you could see your hair right now! Even though it hurt you to laugh, you laughed your butt off! That was the first time I seen you laugh in months.
I remember staying up all night talking to you too. You cried on my shoulders so many many times. I still feel the pain. Although there are so many questions left unanswered I will always have fond memories of you.
You can finally rest in peace My Friend...
Love always,

Rita Olivas

The story I remember about T.J. is a funny one. He used to tell us that he didn't "come out" to his parents, but that his mother told him, "T.J., you're gay." Seems to me like a mother always knows her child, but in this case, no one could know what he was thinking. You will be missed, and will always be remembered. For that matter, You are eternal.

Oh, TJ. I am so, so sorry that this is what had to reunite us. I know we'll always feel the glory of your boundless spirit beside us, and when we remember your glorious face it will be with happiness and not sorrow. Go with God, my dear old friend.
