Eunice and I lived around the corner from each other in Union, N.J. I met her at the age of 10 and immediately we clicked like sisters. We attended the same grade school, high school and were in the same Girl Scout Troop; in fact where ever Eunice was there was Gracie.
I remember each week helping her push a large baby carriage with her xylophone in it to Connecticut Farms Grade school for music lessons. We had several steep hills to negotiate. One time in particular we decided to take a short-cut during the morning rush hour by running across Route 22 pushing the baby carriage at top speed to beat the cars, trucks and buses. I think our angels were with us that day. If our parents ever found out I am sure we would not have been able to sit very long.
We managed to keep in touch until I moved to Arizona in 1976. We then lost touch for several years. Through the high school reunions, we were able to resume our friendship. What a joyous time to see each other after many years and share the changes in our lives.
I will always remember Eunice as a soft spoken, kind hearted soul. Her smile was a ray of sunshine to all around her. I am a better person because of her. I will always remember the laughs and good times we had.
And so, I must say "good bye for now" my dear friend, I will never forget you.
Now that a year is almost upon us let me express how much I loved this wonderful Lady. What a privilege to have her as part of my family. God be with her and all of her family.
Love, Mash(Grace) Baggstrom Metcalf

I attended church with Eunice and she was always so sweet. She always made a point to say hi. She was a very special person, and will be greatly missed by many. As requested, we made a donation in her name to the American Diabetes Association. Hope it helps further the research already done to help so many people

Eunice Palzer - wow - so much to say. I met Eunice when I was probably born - going to Bethany Presbyterian. I remember one day walking into my first day of Spanish class and this woman giving me the warmest hug and so happy to see me - well of course, it was Eunice. I was actually sort of scared to be her student (high expectations) - but she was wonderful. From that day forward - anytime I saw her she always greeted me with the warmest smile and hugs. She truly had the kindest heart and the most gentle eyes. Years could go by and I would not see her, but upon returning to Long Island and to Bethany - there she was with that warm smile and hug again. She will be greatly missed. My thoughts are with her family.

Eunice was a wonderful lady. I knew her most of my life. We went to Bethany where I was a child and she was an adult. She was my Girl Scout Leader and also my Spanish teacher one year at Walt Whitman high school. The thing I loved most about Eunice was ability to talk to you as a friend even though there were many years between us. She was always sweet and pleasant and obviously loved teaching. She will be missed

We first met Eunice at Bethany Presbyterian Church. Our relationship grew while driving Eunice to her Dialysis treatments. She was an amazing lady for what she was going through. She never let her spirits down. She will be missed.

My sympathy to Eunice's Family. She was a very good person. She was the Girl Scout Leader for my two daughters, Michelle Ritter and Catherine Mondello (Quigley) and did a wonderful job as troop leader. We will always remember her, she was the best.

I remember many fun times with Eunice and her daughter Robyn. We shared camping trips, pool parties and Girl Scout activities. Many times we wondered if her little Pinto would make it to the camp with all her guests and equipment!!! Jeri, Joe, Chud, Eddie & I send our condolences to the family.
