To the brother I never had, the brother-in-law I knew longer than my dad who passed when I was only 19 years old: We were not only family, but friends. We shared our birthdays only days apart. That made us special to each other. You were always there for me; helpful and caring to my family and me. I will miss you greatly. God bless you and keep you in His loving arms. To My Dad and My Hero,Herbert C. Loper Jr. Thank you Dad for being a Great Husband to Mom and being a Great Father to Chris and me. I was so Proud to have you as my Dad. I had 40 wonderful years being your son. Right from my start(04-09-1967) I had to fight and fight hard. I knew I would win because I was a Loper like my Dad. Watching you as I grew up over the years I learned a lot. I learned I wanted to be just like you. I will never be able to fill your shoes but I will try my hardest to make you proud of me. During our last few days together I made a promise to you,a promise to takecare of Mom, Chris and Patty.I will not let you down. Dad it's sad you are gone but your free of the pain now and that makes me ever so happy. I Love and Miss you so much. I am so sorry to hear about Mr. Lopers passing. He was a kind and wonderful man. I will miss seeing him at the VA Hospital.
