I was deeply saddened to hear the news of Joel's passing. He was a first mentor and inspiration to me starting a new career in my 50's. I know how proud he was of his children and grandchildren and hope you have some comfort in his love for all of you.

I am in great shock at just now hearing of this tragedy. Joel and I were very good friends and have know each other for over 15 years. This is devastating news to me without question. My condolances to his entire family. I was out of town over the weekend and was just informed of this great loss. Words cannot describe my feelings right now.
