On behalf of Aunt Stella's western nieces and nephews in Washington State and Oregon, let me write of our Aunt's generosity of spirit, great sense of humor, and love for all of her family. We loved her dearly, despite the great distance and few times we were able to return to Long Island, and thought of her often. Bless her, she thought of us and stayed in touch with us even more. Treasure the best of your memories, cousins.

Hi, this is Helen's son, Dennis.
I am so sorry to hear of your mother's passing. I have been speaking with Mom routinely about he very good lifeling friend.
As you know, your mom, Aunt Stel to me, was my godmother and always made me feel very special while growing up on Long Island. The warmth of the household in Hicksville, the relationship she had for the 70+ years with my mom, are very special memories. I still recall some of the Christmas gifts she brought me the week after Christmas, and how I so looked forward to our visits to your house or their visits her. She was always interested in hearing what I was involved in and was really an "Aunt" to me.
