Ludwig F. Luba

LUBA - Ludwig F., (Lou) 78, of Amityville, L.I. on December 9, 2007 after a short illness. He was born in Brooklyn and lived most of his life on the water in Amityville. Coach Luba was a school teacher and coach for the Massapequa School system for over 30 years. He served his country in the U.S. Army, stationed overseas during the Korean War. Lou Luba was predeceased by his parents Ludwig V. and Regina Luba, his sister Elizabeth and his loving wife Mary, who died in 1994. He is survived by his children, Dennis, Maura, Michael, Patrick and Matthew, as well as 10 grandchildren, Brian, Eric, Ricky, Callie, Christopher, Brendan, Lexie, Rachel, Joshua and Ryan. The family will receive friends Wednesday 2-4:30 and 7-9:30 P.M. at the Powell Funeral Home, Inc., 67 Broadway (Rt. 110), Amityville. Funeral Mass Thursday 9:30 A.M. St. Martin of Tours R.C. Church, Amityville. Interment Amityville Cemetery.
