Fred Hughes Obituary

HUGHES-Fred, 74, of Centerport, suddenly on August 13, 2004. Entrepreneur and Author. Member/Commander of the Kings Park American Legion. Naval Korean War Veteran. Semi-Pro Basketball Player. Beloved husband of Dorothea. (Predeceased by his first wife Trudy). Loving father of Theresa (John) Lamanna, Gregg, Scott (Mary), Darren, Holly (Mike) Silverman, Brett and Quinn (Carolyn). Adored grandfather of Jason, Kelly, Carson, Jonathon, Delaney, Jamie, Saylor and Riley. Cherished brother of Ed (Marge), Bill (Linda), Jim (Marie), Sheila (Hank) Ach, Tom (Linda) and the late Frank (Val) Hughes. Fred is loved and will be missed by a host of nieces, nephews and friends. Memorial Visitation, Sunday and Monday 2-5 and 7-9PM, MA Connell Funeral Home, 934 New York Ave., Huntington Station. A service will be held Monday at 8PM. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the American Diabetes Assoc., POB 2680, North Canton, OH 44720.

I am so sorry to hear about the passing of your beloved dad. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. From all you've ever said about your father, he sounded like one hell of a guy.
