Mary,
I'm so sorry to hear about your Dad. Although I never met him you spoke very highly of him and passed along many stories of him at work. May all the wonderful memories you have ease you through your time of sorrow.

In My Pocket
I have memories in my pocket.
They rattle among the change.
My memories of you are treasures I carry wherever I go.
They are stored in bits and pieces, parts of a beautiful whole
They give me comfort when I think I am alone.
Yes, I have memories in my pocket, like so much other stuff I keep there.
But of all the treasures I have, it’s the memories of you that are the most precious.

I have many fond memories of my father; I rode in his truck from the time I as 4 years old, he taught me to drive the trucks when I was 10, together we built my horse barn and put barbed wire fence around the front yard. I worked with him in his business for years and he always treated me as an equal. He loved his birthdays and fathers day family gatherings. He did a lot for every member of his family and was loving and supporting to all of his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. He'll be greatly missed.
With Love, from his daughter, Mary

To The Bushika Family,
I am a friend of Mr. Bushika's Grandson Van. I did not have the pleasure of meeting him but I do know his grandson and there is a reflection of kindness, integrity and service within him that came from his maternal lines. May there be peace for you all during these times of farewells to those who are irreplaceable in our lives. God Bless you all and salvation will insure a reunion with the departed.

Dear Mary,
I am so sorry for your loss. I have fond memories of your family from St. Mary of the Assumption when it stood at the intersection of Church and School so many years ago. It seems like yesterday.

To My Grandfather:
Grampy,
Thankyou for all the love and lessons you shared with me. Most of all your faith in God and Church, love of marriage, love of family and children, love of nature, love of success and hard work, and love of the simple things in life (like just being home with family to eat lunch and dinner together). I will cherish our memories and lessons of love.
Your grandson,
Van
May our family come together in harmony and share peace to all.

I wanted to spend a minute to say a few nice words about my grandfather.
My grandfather was the hardest working man of his time. Everyone that knew him respected him.
He started working at a very young age with his father working at the sand bank in North Adams. He told me how that he and his father would deliver sand using horses and trailers. He has seen several changes in technologies over the decades. He enjoyed telling me the equipment he ran and how he had seen the advances in technology help his industry. I loved listening to him. He was exspecially proud of some of his dump trucks, I believe he liked Macks and Kenworths the best. He would also let you know which equipment he considered to be junk. He was not shy and would let the manufacturers know.
The two most important lesson he taught me growing up was to be a hard worker and to do well in school. He did not have the opportunity to stay in school because he had to start working full time when he would have been in eigth grade.
At the end of every summer he would always sing to me "school days school days good old fashion rule days, writing and reading and arithmatic, etc" he enjoyed singing this song. I also sang ths song to my son Wade last week before his first day of school. I mentioned to him that Great Grampy George would sing it too me as a child. Wade laughed and said he could see Great Grampy singing it. Wade told me the other day that he wished he had a chance to give Great Grampy George one last great big gentle hug. Wade said he would give an extra hug to Great Grammy Grace and tell her it is for Great Grampy George. Wade was always so good with his Great Grammy and Great Grampy.
I love you Grampy.
