Caroline Walden Obituary

Caroline M. Walden 1946 - 2008 ADAMS Caroline M. Roberts Walden, 62, passed away peacefully Sept. 20, at home with her family by her side. Beloved Wife of 42 years of Michael D. Walden. Born in North Adams,on May 7, 1946, daughter of the late Leonard and Doris Rondeau Roberts. Loving mother of Michael D. Walden, Jr. and his husband, Stephen Fletcher of Lancaster, Jon P. and his wife Amy Walden of Bellingham, and Dawn-Marie K., and her husband, Scott Solod of Millbury, devoted Grandmother of Emily, Kylie, Luci Walden, Grace and Samuel Solod. Sister of Jacqueline Copeland of Bellingham, and daughter-in-law of Martin, and his wife Blanche Walden of North Adams, and sister-in-law, Judith and her husband, Donald Collins, Nancy, and her husband, Steve Yoshida, all of Las Vegas, Nev., and Robin and her husband Christopher Zochi of Brandon, Fla. She also leaves many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Resident of Bellingham for 36 years formerly of Framingham, Holliston and North Adams where she was born and raised. Caroline has been the office manager at Hillside Nursery of Franklin, for over 20 years and previously worked for many years at Dennison in Framingham and also the Leonard Morse Hospital in Natick. Communicant of St. Blaise Church. She was a Cub Scout Leader for 8 years of Pack 120 and member of the Pack Committee, also active in the Bellingham Baseball and Basketball Booster Clubs, enjoyed bowling for many years and was an avid reader. Mr. & Mrs. Walden were married June 11, 1966, in Notre Dame Church, North Adams. She was devoted to her family and friends and will be greatly missed. FUNERAL NOTICE: Services will be held Wednesday 9 a.m. from CARTIER'S FUNERAL HOME 151 So. Main St. Route 126, Bellingham, MA with a Mass of Christian Burial 10 a.m. in St. Blaise Church 1158 So. Main St. Bellingham, MA. Visiting hours Tuesday 4 to 8 p.m. Relatives and friends invited to attend. In lieu of flowers Memorial Donations to: St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1942 or Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, 10 Brookline Place West, Floor 6, Brookline, MA 02445-9924 would be appreciated.

Dear Family, We have been blessed to have Carol in our lives and share so many wonderful memories of her. She is loving, kind, and dear to all of us. We will miss her presence but she will live in our hearts and prayers always. God bless you Sweet Caroline.

Mike, Michael, Dawn-Marie & Jon, I was sorry to hear of Carol's passing. I have many fond memories of living on Clarence Road and the the time spent with your family. Carol was like a second mother to me during those years. She was a special person. She loved her kids so much. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Mike, Mike Jr, Jon, Dawn, Jackie,
Mike and I want to express our deepest sympathy to all of you. Caroline was such a special person in my life. I can recall so many memories growing up together and they were all good ones.
