Barbara, It was with great sadness that we learned of Beans passing. Please know that you and your family are in our thoughts and prayers. My folks had many wonderful stories of growing up with Bob and of the "college years" at St. A's. He will be missed.

Bob, the world has certainly lost a true friend and outstanding individual. Our friendship goes back so many years, the good ole Jackson St crowd. Yet once meeting you a friendship developed that has remained through all these years. I, like all others, can certainly say we have lost a "true friend". May the Good Lord keep you close forever.

Uncle Bob
You may have physically left us but the friendship and love that you gave to all will live forever. You were a special person and I will deeply miss you and the good times we shared. I will carry my memories of you close to my heart and until we meet again, May God hold you in the hollow of his hand.
Love George

An Irish Funeral Prayer

Death is nothing at all.
It does not count.
I have only slipped away into the next room.
Everything remains as it was.
The old life that we lived so fondly together is untouched, unchanged.
Whatever we were to each other, that we are still.
Call me by the old familiar name.
Speak of me in the easy way which you always used.
Put no sorrow in your tone.
Laugh as we always laughed at the little jokes that we enjoyed together.
Play, smile, think of me, pray for me.
Let my name be ever the household word that it always was.
Let it be spoken without effort.
Life means all that it ever meant.
It is the same as it ever was.
There is unbroken continuity.
Why should I be out of mind because I am out of sight?
I am but waiting for you, for an interval, somewhere very near, just around the corner.
All is well.
Nothing is hurt; nothing is lost.
One brief moment and all will be as it was before.
How we shall laugh at the trouble of parting, when we meet again.

Thank you Mr. Reardon for your kind patience. Long division certainly was an obstacle and you were there to see that I learned it, whether I wanted to or not. I see now the difference it has made in my life and am thankful you stuck by me. Your kindness, amazing patience, and genuine love for teaching will not be forgotten.

Goodbye Rob, know that you carry with you all my love. The house has been so empty these last 19 weeks. But now you are free from all suffering and cradled in the hands of the lord for which I am so grateful. Go in Peace and love forever.

A Reminiscence

YES, thou art gone! and never more
Thy sunny smile shall gladden me;
But I may pass the old church door,
And pace the floor that covers thee.

May stand upon the cold, damp stone,
And think that, frozen, lies below
The lightest heart that I have known,
The kindest I shall ever know.

Yet, though I cannot see thee more,
'Tis still a comfort to have seen;
And though thy transient life is o'er,
'Tis sweet to think that thou hast been;

To think a soul so near divine,
Within a form so angel fair,
United to a heart like thine,
Has gladdened once our humble sphere.
