Sandra McLain Obituary

Sandra McLain 1963 - 2008 North Adams Sandra Lynn McLain, 45, of 460 Church St., died Friday Oct. 17, at Baystate Medical Center. She was born in Derby, Conn., on Feb. 26, 1963, daughter of Charles McLain and Evelyn Buttery Lewis. She attended schools in Newtown, Conn. She was employed by Aramark Services at Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts at the time of her death. Before that she was a cook at the Joga Café in North Adams. She was an accomplished baker. She leaves her mother and stepfather, Michael and Evelyn Lewis of Tennessee; one daughter, Sarah Novicky of Adams, one son, Mathew Novicky of North Adams, her former husband, George Novicky, her lifelong friend, Mark Gelormino of North Adams, three sisters, Terry Soberg, Denise McLain and Nancy McLain, one Brother, Steven McLain. She is predeceased by one brother, Todd McLain. FUNERAL NOTICE: A memorial service for Sandra Lynn McLain will be held on Saturday Oct. 25, 2008 at 11 a.m. at the FLYNN & DAGNOLI-MONTAGNA HOME FOR FUNERALS, CENTRAL CHAPELS, 74 Marshall St. North Adams, MA. There are no calling hours. Memorial donations can be made in her memory through the funeral home.

No words can describe how we feel about the passing of such a dear lady.She will never forgotten.Always a smile & there to cheer us on when the chips were down.Her huge heart has surely allowed her to be in a better place now.

Sandy was one of the friends that i remember who was so kind hearted we were friends in middle, high school. She was some one who you will always remember,, one that touches you life in a sweet and gentle way.The Lord will keep and protect her till we all see one another again. She is with him and the Angels in heaven.

Even though it has been many years since I have seen Sandy (and my dear friend Steve) the thought of her and her bright spirit brings a warm smile to my heart. For Sarah,Terry,Steven, and everyone who had a place it their heart for Sandy,
There are really no words to describe the overwhelming sense of loss that all who were close to Sandy are feeling. She had heart and spirit unlike anyone I have ever known and always tried to make the best of everything as She traveled along the road that we call Life.
Knowing Sandy as I have , I believe with all my heart that
She would want us all to find, In our own time and way, the strength to get through this tragic loss. Some believe that as long as someone is thought of , They are never really gone, I am one of those.

I have experienced a loss like yours and there are no words that will take the pain away,however there are words that if we believe in Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ,we can be comforted:

And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes;there shall be no more death,nor sorrow,nor crying,There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away..Revelation 2:14...

We were not only shocked but deeply saddened to learn of Sandy's untimely passing. I have no words to offer to ease your pain at this difficult time. It never gets easier but you do learn to deal with if differently with every day that passes. Sandy took care of my baby girl and the way she would light up when sandy came every day was indescribable. They did things together all the time and i know that my little one benifited from the times that they spent together. If you need anything at all you know where we live. We will miss her smiling face and loving nature.
