I came to know Max very late in his life. I was privileged to be his Hospice volunteer for several months. He was as sweet a patient as I have ever had. I brought one of my dogs every time I made a visit, and he loved interacting with them. His mind was sharp as a tack, and we loved discussing politics and sports. I came to feel great affection for him, and I will miss him very much.
