We've lost a great American. God bless you, Marty. I felt like I knew you in just the short time that you shared your life with us. You were a great talk show caller--you knew that you weren't the star. Yet in many ways Marty, you'll always be a star with me. Love to your family.

Marty.... There are not enough words to express the thanks our nation owes you and all of your Band of Brothers. Although it may seem that our nation has forgotten your sacrifices, there are many who thank you day after day. Thank you to Sean Hannity for bringing you into all of our lives so that you could share your wisdom and insight into what a true hero really is. Rest in Peace, your work is done but your light will shine forever in those that you have touched. To your family, God Bless you all. Oh Marty, how I will miss you, like so many others. The tribute Sean played brought tears to my eyes. I could hear the weight of all you had lived in those years as "The Greatest Generation". Godspeed to the friend I never met. I thank you from the heart of my soul for the freedom you and your comrades secured for me and mine.
For Marty's family, my deepest, heartfelt condolences. Marty seems to have been the sort of person you can be so very proud of. As Sean says, "Let your heart be not troubled." Marty now resides where we all long to go. When you believe in a Higher Power, no farewell is forever. God Bless you all.

Marty our HERO …. IS AMERICA, & WILL NOT BE FORGOTTEN.

I had the honor and privilege of chatting with Mr. Kenney at several WABC sponsored events and I was always taken by his easygoing outlook. He was humbled by the celebrity status that those in Sean’s audience openly displayed whenever he appeared in public. Marty’s honest spoken appraisals of the events of the day were uplifting to all within earshot whenever he spoke to America. I mentioned him in my book on talk radio.
He will be missed. Americans present and future can honor this man for the love he had for his country, by keeping the torches of liberty and freedom burning.
Marty would want it that way.
God bless him and the entire Kenney family.

Dear family and close friends of Marty -
My deepest sympathies for the loss of your beloved father, grandfather, and friend.

I hope you find some comfort in knowing that Marty was loved by so many.

The Kenney Family.... I was brokenhearted when I heard that Marty had passed away. I was listening to Sean on election day when I heard the news. I cried because I loved hearing his voice at the end of Sean's show.....Marty!!!! A true American hero in every sense of the word. I listened to Sean's tribute to him last night and I was so moved when he talked about how he loved this country and the D-Day invasion. I know you were all proud of him. Rest in Peace Marty - you will be sorely missed.

I always wanted to meet Marty in person. I always enjoyed hearing the ragtime piano music start up when he called the Sean Hannity Show. The calls always started the same way: "Sean? MARTYYYYYYYYY!" He was a true American hero. To Marty's family: I don't know if you realize the impact Marty has had on our nation, not only through his military service but also his wisdom he shared on the radio. He will truly be missed. May God bless your family.

Thank you, Marty, for your humor and wisdom. I feel honored to have been able to listen to Marty's words of wisdom and humor for the past few years. We truly were blessed by his presence and I, for one, will not forget him despite only knowing him through radio waves that made it all the way down here to Southern New Mexico.
To Marty's family: May you find peace and comfort in knowing just how much Marty meant to the people of this country who listened to his wisdom and humor via the Sean Hannity show. Know that we all mourn his loss with you and will be thinking of you, praying for you and sending you peace and comfort from our hearts.
It is men like Marty who have made this country the truly wonderful place it is today. And those of us who recognize how wonderful our country is will forever honor his service and sacrifice for us all.

To Marty's family,
What a special man he was to those of us who knew him through the radio! You must be touched to know how loved he was and what an impact one simple life had on so many people throughout this nation. How ironic that he died on the day which, had he lived through it, would have caused him to feel sadness and trepidation for the future of the country he loved and served so admirably. He shall be missed.

God bless you Marty. May the Heavenly Father welcome you with open arms. I always enjoyed your phone calls into Sean’s show.
On a personal note, I will never forget the Hannity on Broadway show. I had no idea Marty was sitting in front of me. As Sean was taking questions from the audience, I thought I was going to be the last question so I could propose to my girlfriend in front of everybody. As I was about to be handed the mic, Sean says that Marty was in the audience, lets hear from Marty. I helped Marty up to his feet and he had his say. Well, it was an honor to be bumped for Marty. I offer my condolences to the Kenney family and may the Good Lord bless each and everyone of you during this difficult time.

Though I never him, Marty touched my heart. Hearing his voice, his grace and dignity and his obvious love and respect for his Country were to me, the definition of a true patriot. He was a hero and ever shall be. If ever one sought to prove that there angels among us, Marty is that proof. You and all your care shall be in my prayers, and thank you for sharing such a great man with all of us. You will never know the amount of hearts he touched and the grace he brought to an often worried Country. May God bless you and hold you always in the Palm of His Hand -

Marty was my connection to my parents, both of the WW11 generation. Having lost my WW11 Navy veteran father 28 years ago and my mother several months ago, I held an even more special place in my heart for Marty who held the same ideals and beleifs that I was taught from my very patriotic parents.
I was deeply saddened to hear Sean announce Marty's passing, and I was brought to tears from his tribute to him yesterday. Please know that we all thank Marty for his service to this country, his love of this country, and his love of live. I am sure that Monica Crowley will also pay tribute to him tomorrow, and I shall look forward for perhaps one more time to hear his lovely voice and insightful observations. He will be missed by many more than you can ever imagine. May he rest in peace.

To the family of Marty: I enjoyed his contributions to the radio programs. As a Baby Boomer I appreciate his service to our nation. I was at Omaha Beach for the 60th Anniversary of DDay with my late father's unit. It is a very moving place to visit. From talking to the vets I can understand why it was so hard for Marty to talk about that day that changed the world. Rest in peace.

I rarely cry. I bawled today hearing Sean's interview with Marty. I made sure I turned on the radio every afternoon 10 minutes before 5 so I could be sure and hear what Marty was going to say that day. He was so genuine and represented a class of people that rarely exists today. It truly is the greatest generation, and Marty was the greatest of the greatest. Thank you, Marty for your service to this country 60 years ago AND the last few years as well...

To the Kenney family: please accept my condolence on the loss of your father, grandfather and great grandfather, this great nation is forever in his debt. To Marty, Thank you. As a world war II history buff i am forever humbled at the great deed and service to me and this great country that you and others of the greatest generation gave to me and my family. You have returned home to be with our Savior and Lord Jesus Christ and you have indeed earned your eternal reward and rest. May you watch over this country as we have lost our way but as your generation fought to save this nation, my generation( i'm 42 and a Reagan conservative)shall continue to uphold those ideals and values you and our honored dead have given us. My mother was Margaret Wrenn Connelly from the old neighborhood in the Bronx. Marty was buddies with Mom's brother, Jack Wrenn, and he needed a date for a dance. Mom introduced him to Helen, and the rest was history! Even when I was alone in the car, I always called our to him, "Hey Marty!" and waved to him when driving past his house on Route 17. He was a great man.

To The Family of our "Marty",
After hearing Marty so many, many times on the radio, I finally got to meet him at a Sean Hannity book signing in Ridgewood. I asked him to sign Sean's book and he did ! What a wonderful, unassuming, patriotic and gracious man. My deepest sympathy to his family and friends but I hope you will get some comfort in knowing that he was loved and respected by more people than you can ever imagine.
