Raymond Adams January 13, 1925 - July 2, 2009 Griswold - Raymond F. Adams, 84, of Taylor Hill Rd passed away Thursday morning at home after a lengthy illness. He was born January 13, 1925 in Taftville, son to the late George and Pearl (Poyerd) Adams. On May 25, 1946 at St. Mary's Church in Jewett City he was married to Anna B. (Gawronski) Adams, she survives him. Raymond was employed at Triangle in Jewett City. He served in World War 2 in the US Navy. Besides his wife he is survived by a daughter Carol Adams of Lisbon, three grandchildren Nick Adams, Naomi Adams, and Jennifer Youngdahl, and five great grandchildren Joshua, John, Wyatt, Zachary, and Anna. He was predeceased by a son Raymond Adams. A mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday at 1:00 at St. Mary's Church in Jewett City. Internment will follow at the Pachaug Cemetery. The Gagne-Piechowski Funeral Home 490 Voluntown Rd. Rte. 138 Jewett City, CT is in charge of arrangements.
