I did not have the pleasure of knowing Arthur for many years, but from the minute I met him he touched my heart in a way many never do. He had a way of speaking right to your soul with a humor that was God blessed. He lit up the room whenever he was present. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you at this difficult time, and I know that Arthur is up there sitting in heaven watching over all of us, probably playing cards, probably cursing at us as only he could do. Take comfort in the fact that we now have a wonderful angel watching out for us, who will be there to greet us when it is our turn to go home to the Lord. God bless all of you. Lynn

i'm very saddened your husband has left us. he was a good person from the short time i spent at your house back in the 1976 or 97.he fixed my car. i learned a few tricks from him on motors.hope you find comfort in knowing that many people loved him for who he was.if you need anything ,don't hessitate to ask.

I miss you very much arthur, i just cant believe i was the last one to see you and not alot of people know but to tell you honestly i had a very great time with you that night, meeting people you had raced with and just about everything you can imagine... I still have that phone number that vinny gave me for your old "12" car and we were suppose to get it this tuesday.. i just cant belive it still its like i will see you next week to work on my jeep i bought from you... well i finally got it back and its gonna be with me forever! Theres way tooo many memories and you knew me since i was born, and i would interpret for you anytime anyplace and you know that. I'm really stunned about the lost of Art. I remember when I first met him as a little boy and my mom said, " This is Aurthur Hall and he drives a race car and is deaf like you" But as time went along and I got older, I got to know Art very well and hung out with him from time to time..He was always there for every person that he cared about and had a wonderful sense of humor .My prayers and thoughts are with you, Alice and all of Art's family and friends.

with my deepest sympathy to his families. he and i grow up together since we were four years old. we are race together, play poker and attended your wedding was at st james chruch and john curits and i went there and you was 17 and alice was 15. it had awesome wedding.it was in 1958. you attended my wedding at 1972. best old time friends was you (art), charles morenize, bernard mofitt and me played porker all the time. i remeber i pulled you in race and you become race driver and you are best driver and win often. i miss you very much. may god bless his familes to be strength and recovery as possible

My sympathy and prayers go out to Art's family. I knew Art growing up in Danielson and the Dayville area and when he raced at Thompson when I use to work in my friends pit crew. Art alwas amazed me on how he could let you know what was wrong with your car by laying his hand on the engine and feeling the way the engine would run poorly. He was a very gentle caring person. He will be missed greatly. He was a true gentleman.

Art was like a uncle to me he has been in our family ever since I can remember and that was when I was a little girl. He enjoyed auto racing I can remember going to Thompson Raceway and watch him and my dad Robert Whipple race together . Art and my dad Robert Whipple where like brothers . I'm so sorry for the loss of your family member and loved one, especially "Baby Arthur" who was such a unique kind of a person. He will always be loved and talked about in a wonderful way by many people. I know that whole Hall family gave me a lot of wonderful childhood/teenage moments to remember for the rest of my life....If it weren't for Art and Alice those memories would never be there. I love you all, I hope you all find the peace & comfort you need to get through this. I know we all have our own way of grieving, but I think if you all hang together as a family as you always have, that is the best medicine. My thoughts and prayers are with you through this difficult time, I'm so sorry again. I will keep him in mind during the Ice breaker 2008 as I speak to a lot of his past competitors, I will burn a candle for him all weekend there in memory of Arthur. "What a wonderful man!"
