Raymond Fisher Obituary


Raymond Carl "Ray" Fisher, 76, of Wardensville, W.Va., died Saturday at his home.

The funeral will be conducted Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel, in Winchester by the Revs. Walt and Kathy Mullins. Burial will be in Little Mountain Cemetery in Frederick County.

Mr. Fisher was born in 1932, in Webster Springs, W.Va., son of the late David E. and Angeline Garvin Fisher. He retired as a sand mine process operator for Unimin. He attended Marvin Chapel United Methodist Church. He was husband of the late Madaline Sharp Fisher.

Surviving are his wife, Norma Rinard Fisher; two daughters, Shelba Hahn of Gore and Tina Anderson of Stephens City; a son, Raymond Jerry Fisher Sr. of Winchester; two stepdaughters, Karen Anderson and Annette Davis, both of Wardensville; a stepson, Marty Rinard of Wardensville; eight grandchildren, two stepgrandchildren, six great-grandchildren and four stepgreat-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Raymond Jerry Fisher Jr., Justin Anderson, Allen Hahn III, Brian Brannon, Allen Hahn Jr. and Kevin Anderson.

The family will receive friends Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Grant County Memorial Hospice, P.O. Box 1019, Petersburg, W.Va. 26847.
