Raymond Fisher Obituary

Raymond Carl "Ray" Fisher, 76, of Wardensville, WV, went home to be with the Lord, Saturday, January 17, 2009 at his home.

Mr. Fisher was born in 1932, in Webster Springs, WV, the son of the late David E. and Angeline Garvin Fisher. He was a sand mine process operator for Unimin, having retired in 1994. He attended Marvin Chapel Methodist Church.

Mr. Fisher married Norma Rinard, on May 26, 2001 in Wardensville. His first wife, Madaline Sharp Fisher, preceded him in death on August 11, 1992.

Surviving with his wife are two daughters, Shelba Hahn and her husband, Allen of Gore, Tina Anderson and her husband, Kevin of Stephens City; a son, Raymond Jerry Fisher, Sr. and his wife, Patricia Ann of Winchester; two step-daughters, Karen An-derson and her husband, Douglas and Annette Davis and her husband, Eddie, all of Wardensville; a step-son, Marty Rinard and his wife, Kristen Colebank, of Wardensville; eight grandchildren, Raymond Jerry Fisher, Jr., Jennifer Brannon, Angie Hahn, Nicole Hahn, Allen Hahn, III, Justin Anderson, Jada Anderson and Heather Fisher; two step-grandchildren, Rusty and Anthony, six great grandchildren and four step-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by four sisters and two brothers.

A funeral service will be conducted at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel on Wednesday at 2:00 P.M. with the Reverend Walt Mullins and Reverend Kathy Mullins officiating. Interment will be in Little Mountain Cemetery in Frederick County.

Pallbearers will be Raymond Jerry Fisher, Jr., Justin Anderson, Allen Hahn, III, Brian Brannon, Allen Hahn, Jr., and Kevin Anderson.

The family will receive friends at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel on Tuesday from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Grant County Memorial Hospice, P.O. Box 1019, Petersburg, WV 26847.
