Thomas P. Alcock Jr., 70, of Dennisport, Massachusetts, formerly of Lynn, Massachusetts, a teacher at Lynn Classical High School from 1961 until his retirement in 1992, died of leukemia at his home on Saturday, October 28, 2000. Friends may call on Monday, October 30, 2000, 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m., at Cuffe-McGinn Funeral Home, 157 Maple Street, Lynn. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend funeral services on Tuesday, October 31, 9 a.m., from the funeral home to St. Pius V Church, with a Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. Interment will be at Holy Trinity Cemetery, Harwich, Massachusetts. Donations in his memory may be sent to Leukemia Fund, c/o Development Office, Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, 44 Binney Street, Boston, MA 02115.

I can't tell you how sad we felt upon hearing the news about Tom's passing. He was one of the best friends my father ever had I'll always remember the laughs they shared. Tom was an inspiration to me as well. He helped nuture my interest in the sciences and that legacy continues to this day.
