Adele B. Anderson, 86, of Duluth, passed away Monday, Jan. 28, 2008 in Viewcrest Health Center. She was born in Duluth on Sept 29, 1921 to Herbert and Anna Bjorlin. Adele was a 1938 graduate of Denfeld High School and attended North Park College in Chicago. She married Merlin Anderson on June 12, 1954 in the First Covenant Church in Duluth. In her younger years, she worked for the Bjorlin Bakery and went on to work for various banks in Duluth. She was a member of First Covenant Church, its choir, the Carillon Choral Club, taught Sunday school and was past president of the Covenant Women. Adele was always creative, enjoyed sewing and working with crafts. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Merlin; and a brother, Donald Bjorlin. She is survived by a daughter, Lezley (Robert) Small of Glenwood Springs, Colo; a son, Jay (Deanna) of Duluth; grandchildren, Brandon, Jason, Sarah and Nathan; brothers, Marvin (Char) Bjorlin of Lake Minnetonka and Bobby (Anna Mae) Bjorlin of Duluth; a sister-in-law, Esther (Ray) Berntsen of Esko; many nieces and nephews. VISITATION:5 to 7 p.m. Thursday in Williams-Lobermeier Funeral Home and will continue from 10 until the 11 a.m. funeral service Friday in First Covenant Church. 2101 W 2nd St. Rev Dean Bjorlin officiating. Burial at Union Cemetery, Hermantown.
