EASTOVER - Mrs. Ingeborg Drager Anderson died Saturday, Sept. 10, 2011, in Whispering Pines Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Fayetteville after an extended illness. Mrs. Anderson was born in Berlin, Germany, on March 4, 1929. She spent the majority of her life in Fayetteville and Eastover. She worked for Fort Bragg Guest Lodging as a receptionist until retiring in 1989. She was a devoted mother to her children and wife of Marvin Anderson. Mrs. Anderson is survived by four children; Beatrix and husband Jose Isaac, Patti Collins, Ronnie and wife Laura Rector, Susie and husband Tom Melvin; five grandchildren, Michelle Isaac, Eric Collins, Rachel Santiago, Elizabeth Williams and Stephany Rector; two stepgranddaughters, Ashley and Lindsey Argo; and six great-grandchildren, Ryan Spears, Tristen Spears, Kaitlyn Hamilton, Autumn Santiago, Kaedon Loweke and Lilyan Pepper. She also is survived by her very special friend and caregiver, Brenda Garofone, and dear friend of many years, Nancy Beissel. Mrs. Anderson was preceded in death by her husband Marvin L. Anderson; daughters, Lily J. Solomon and Dagmar Lindert; granddaughter, Christina Spears; and grandson, Stephen Loweke. A memorial service to honor Mrs. Anderson's life will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 17, 2011, in Reeves Funeral Home chapel in Hope Mills, conducted by Chaplain Tim Gore. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
