James Dwight 'Pap' Allred
Funeral for James Dwight "Pap" Allred, 68, of Decatur will be Sunday, January 6, 2013, at 3 p.m. at Roselawn Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend Hugh Bohlin officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1 to 3 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mr. Allred, who died Thursday, January 3, 2013, at his home, was born October 25, 1944, in Morgan County to Clarence and Dorothy Allred. He was a U.S. Army Vietnam veteran and a Delphi retiree. He was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, Dennis Allred and Clarence Allred Jr.
He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Viola M. Allred; one daughter, Angela Renee' Allred of Priceville; one brother, Neal Allred of Reno, Nevada; nephews, Dennis "Slugger" Allred, Chad Allred and Douglas Allred, all of Decatur, and nieces, Denise Allred Murphy of Trinity and Kenithe Arnold of Decatur.
Pallbearers will be Mike Murphree, Chad Allred, Tyler Woodall, Theron Livingston, Ernie Freeman and Jack Livingston.
Honorary pallbearers will be Kenneth Morgan, Windell Shelton, Billy Reeves, David Woodall, Tommy Di Giulian, Dennis "Slugger" Allred and Ken Wright.
