Wallace E. "Gene" Dusenbury Wallace E. "Gene" Dusenbury, 87, of Clemmons, North Carolina, passed away on Monday, January 21, 2013, at his residence. He was born on November 9, 1925, in Washington, D.C., a son of Walter Vernon and Rachel Mae Stevenson Dusenbury. Surviving are his wife of 60 years, Eleanor Dusenbury of Clemmons, North Carolina; two daughters, Judy and Bobby Hoover of Alderson, West Virginia, Emily and Leonard Hutchens Jr. of Clemmons, North Carolina; one son, William and Eileen Ball of Mount Pleasant, North Carolina; six grandchildren and four great -grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers. Gene was a United States Navy veteran serving on Submarine Force Lizard Fish, Life member of Tidewater Submarine Vets, VFW member, United States Coast Guard Auxiliary Flotilla 62, and a Past Governor of Loyal Order of Moose Lodge #1028. He was employed by Wilson Trucking Company for 45 years until retirement. Gene was a loving husband, wonderful father and grandfather who fought a valiant fight to remain with his family over the seven years of his illness. A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Saturday, January 26, 2013, at Holly Memorial Gardens in Charlottesville, Virginia. Visitation will be held from 6 until 8 p.m. on Friday, January 25, 2013, at Teague Funeral Home in Charlottesville.
