John William Green, 81 years old of Eastern Jackson County, MO passed away January 28, 2013. He was born April 22, 1931 in Dalton, MO. He graduated from William Chrisman in 1949. He was a Navy Veteran in the Korean Conflict. He retired from Herald Publishing House in 1994 after 45+ years in the printing industry.
He was an Elder attending the Colbern Road Restoration Branch Church. He loved his family and friends. Favorite hobbies were traveling, camping, fishing, wood working, kite flying and playing cards.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Norma Jean (Keller) Green, his parents, Silvey and Viola Green, and his brother, Charles E. Green.
He is survived by his wife of the home, Sue Green: their children James & Melissa Green, Joyce & David Barnhard, Charles R. Green, and Janice & Danny Pearson; grandchildren, Tara Green, Amy & Ken Scofield, Kirk & T.J. Barnhard, Jennifer & Justin Jennings, Eric Green, Matt & Jill Barnhard, Tammy & Kyle Westerhold, Brett Pearson & Natalie Smith, and Karlie Green; great-grandchildren, Daphne, Keegan and Grace; sister Doris Fleming of Washington.

A Memorial service will be held at 3:00 P.M., Saturday, February 2, 2013 at New Salem Funeral Home. Visitation will be 1 to 3 P.M., prior to the service.
