Klocksien, Philip S., Jr. Born October 29, 1949 in Minneapolis to Dorothy and Philip Klocksien, Sr. Passed away on February 13, 2013 at his home, surrounded by family, ending a lengthy battle against cancer. Philip attended the U of M and worked most of his life as a forester and arborist. He loved being among nature and wildlife. He was a skilled fly-fisherman and enjoyed gardening on his farm. Philip had a lifelong passion for blues and jazz, and was a great chromatic harmonica player, playing in a jazz band up until just a few weeks before his death. Philip will be remembered for his courageous, generous, and caring spirit as well as his wry sense of humor. He was happiest with his family and especially loved spending time with his young granddaughter. Preceded in death by his parents. Survived by girlfriend, Catherine Mosher; brothers, Stephen (Jean) and Peter; children, Anna, Sam (LaRae), Jacob, and Mara; granddaughter, Zoe; former wife, Margaret (Michael) and their children, Britta and Linnea; and his four cats. Funeral service Tuesday, 2 PM at Lakewood Cemetery Chapel, 3600 Hennepin Ave. S., Mpls, MN 55408. Memorial donations may be made to the U of M Raptor Center or the Wildlife Rehabilitation Center.
