WING, MSGT Kenneth Chester, SAF, (Ret.), 66, of Greencastle, passed away on Saturday, April 6, 2013. He was preceded in death by his parents, Chester John and Eva May Ratcliffe Wing; first and former spouse, Marie C. Robinson Wing; granddaughter, Christy Lynn Watson; and a brother and sister. He graduated from Granby Junior-Senior High School in Granby, Mass., and the Community College of the Air Force and University of Illinois College of Engineering. MSGT Wing served our nation with over 21 years of service, first with the Navy and retired from the United States Air Force. Licensed through the Department of Transportation as an Aircraft and Power Plant Mechanic, he worked in the military aircraft modification industry. Ken enjoyed raising and showing horses. He leaves behind his loving and devoted wife of 31 years, Reitta Sue Gurley Wing; children, E. Wayne Watson (Jean), Michele R. Scott (Michael), Norman E. Wing (Heidi) and Robin Allison (Butch); grandchildren, Andre Wing, Paul (Samantha) and Jeffery Hefner, Amanda, William, and Damon Watson; great-grandchildren, Andrew Heffner and Reitta and Joseph Price. The family will receive friends at Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Ave. Richmond, Va. 23231, on Thursday, April 11, from 6 to 8 p.m., where a Celebration of His Life will be held on Friday, April 12, at 11 a.m. Interment will follow in Washington Memorial Park.
