Grace Ade Obituary

Ade, Grace (Stimson) 79, passed away April 2, 2013, in Everett WA of complications of cancer and pneumonia. Born October 1, 1933 in Minneapolis of Lyle and Violet Stimson, she found a peaceful ending in the arms of her beloved husband of 52 years, Bob, surrounded by her 5 children, Robin Ade, Dawn Chaplin, Todd Ade, Rob Ade and Sharon Ade who live in the Seattle area. Grace is survived by her brother Carroll Stimson of Pine River, and sisters Lyla Tutt and Maxine Mottram, of the Twin City area and 4 grandchildren. Grace attended West High School until the family moved late in her Senior year to Pine River, MN where she graduated in 1951. Grace and Bob were soul mates in their creative flairs that they expressed thru a candle business "Candles by Grace" in the 60's and 70's run from their home "factory" with the kids as employees and later on with self designed and produced "Kaleidoscopes by Bob and Grace Ade". (www.tinyurl.com/7g2mf2m) Grace and Bob had a great love of travel throughout the U.S. and many countries. Grace particularly enjoyed her African Safaris. Grace wasn't shy about stating that she felt she had lived a great life and it was her wish that her remains be used for scientific research. Her wish was granted as she has been accepted by the U of WA Medical School. We are certain that she will graduate with honors. A memorial service has been planned for May 4th in Mukilteo, WA. For more information: graceade@comcast.net or call Bob at 425-353-6546.
