Sylvia I. Harlow Sylvia I. Harlow, 86, of Charlottesville, died on Sunday, April 28, 2013, at a local nursing facility. Born on March 5, 1927, in Charlottesville, she was the daughter of the late Ed and Edna Moon and was the wife of the late William Harlow. In addition, she was preceded in death by a son, William "Shorty" Harlow. Mrs. Harlow retired as a Certified Nursing Assistant with hospice. She is survived by three daughters, Charlotte Thacker and her husband, Curtis, Edna Peebles and her husband, Bill, and Diane Woodward and her husband, Dennis; two sons, Larry Payne and Bruce Harlow and his wife, Darlene; one brother, Curtis Moon; a granddaughter who lived with her and helped take care of her, Tina, and her two children Akeya and Khloe; and 11 other grandchildren; and 16 other great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be conducted 2 p.m. Thursday, May 2, 2013, at the Teague Chapel with the Reverend Sidney Craig officiating. Interment will follow at Holly Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6 until 7 p.m. Wednesday, May 1, 2013, at the Teague Funeral Home. Friends may sign the guest register at teaguefuneralhome.com.
