FAYETTEVILLE - Mrs. Mary Catherine Ream, 76, of Fayetteville, passed away Thursday, June 20, 2013 at her home with her family by her side. She was born in Mifflin County, Pa., Sept. 5, 1936, to the late Leo and Ethel Griffith. Mrs. Ream was a dedicated mother and homemaker from 1954 to 1974. She later began working at Purolater and retired after 22 years of service. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Ream; and grandson, Chris Ranczka. Left to cherish her memory are daughters, Linda Ranczka and fiance, Steve Lorbach, of Lino Lakes, Minn., Debbie Arrant and husband, Kent, of Hope Mills, Cathy Davis and husband, Jimmy, of Buchanan, Ga., and Mary Beth Hanley and husband, Bill, of Madison Heights, Mich.; sons, Robert "Bobby" Ream and wife, Kathy, of Greenville, S.C., Michael Ream and wife, Krista, of Huntersville, and Patrick Ream of the home; brother, Robert Griffith and wife, Glenda, of Alexandria, Pa.; 10 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and her beloved pets, Buster, Bruno and Toby. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 tonight, Sunday, June 23, 2013, at Reeves Funeral Home in Hope Mills. A funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday, June 24, 2013, in Reeves Funeral Home chapel. She will be laid to rest in Cumberland Memorial Gardens.
