John Hull Obituary

John Herbert Hull Sr. "Pop Pop" John Herbert Hull Sr. "Pop Pop" passed away at his residence on Sunday, July 14, 2013. John was born to William Taylor Hull and Esther Tatro Hull in Springdale, Connecticut; served his country in the United States Army and was a master plumber. John was owner/operator retired from H&H Plumbing. Surviving Mr. Hull is his wife, Shelby Hull of Etlan, Virginia; his children, Tammy Ramey and Wayne of Culpeper, Virginia, John H. Hull Jr. and Kimberly of Madison, Virginia, Shane E. Hull and Mary M. of Culpeper, Virginia, Crissy Revell and John of Japan, and Sherry Kelly and Sam of Stanardsville, Virginia; his siblings, Marion Lash of Wilmington, North Carolina, and Eleanor Lisco and Frank, who was more like a brother than a brother-in- law, of Milford, Connecticut; his grandchildren, Kelly Jo VanderWall, Anthony Ramey, John H. Hull III, Kristen Dye, Destany Hull, Sadie Miller, Samantha Ramey, Cpl. Josh Dye, Alexis Hull, Christian Revell and Nicholas Revell; and nine great-grandchildren. Also, there are many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Ella S. Hull; and his siblings, Alice Hull, Gertrude Merriam, Margaret Hull, Frances Smeriglio, Dorothy Sullivan, Bessie Ritter, William Hull, Norman Hull, and Edward Hull. Funeral services will be held in the chapel of Clore-English Funeral Home, 12 p.m. Friday, July 19, 2013. Interment will be in the Culpeper National Cemetery, U.S. Avenue, with military honors provided by the American Legion Post 330 and V.F.W. Post 2524 Honor Guards. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Thursday, July 18, 2013, at Clore-English Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made in his memory to Clore-English Funeral Home or to Hospice of the Rapidan, P.O. Box 1751, Culpeper, VA 22701. Condolences may be given at clore-english.com.
