Dorothy 'Dot' K. Kinsey
Dorothy "Dot" K. Kinsey was born on February 15, 1933, and went to be with the Lord on April 12, 2014. She fought a courageous battle before being called home. She lived in Birmingham for many years before moving to Town Creek in her later years. She was employed by St. Paul Insurance Company until her retirement. Dot spent much of her later years volunteering for organizations, such as the Lions Club and the Town Creek Library. She was also a volunteer for the Alabama Chicken and Egg Festival.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Floyd Kirkland and Judson Kinsey; her parents, Paul and Mary Key; her siblings, Lyndon, Marie, Lyle, Willard and George Key. Although she did not have any children of her own, you would have never known by the way she loved her nieces and nephews, Paula (Jerry), Lindy (Johnny), Doug (Deborah) and Charles (Dora), along with multiple great and great-great nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be at Lawrence Funeral Home in Moulton on April 16, 2014, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. followed by a graveside service at 3:30 p.m. at the Jefferson Memorial Gardens in Trussville. The service will be held by Rev. Ron Edgel.
Dot was a life long lover of animals. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make a donation to the local Humane Society in Dot's name.
