Funeral service for Brad Kingsbury, 69, of Hartselle will be Saturday, August 16, 2014, at 11 a.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mr. Kingsbury, who died Tuesday, August 12, 2014, was born December 30, 1944, in Michigan to Merrill Bradford Kingsbury Sr. and Marie Violet Hawkins Kingsbury. He was a U.S. Army Vietnam veteran serving from 1963-1968 as a drill instructor. He was a lifetime member of ARBA (American Rabbit Breeders Association), a member of the American Satin Rabbit Breeders and an ARBA Judge. He also was a member of the American Legion Post No. 15 in Decatur.
Brad was an outgoing man who never met a stranger who he wouldn't help or talk to. He was a loving, cheerful, positive, outgoing husband, father and grandfather. He worked in the trucking industry for 50 years and was employed by Ike Transportation as a truck driver. He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, Gary Kingsbury Sr. of Vicksburg, MI.
Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Pat Kingsbury; two sons, Richard Kingsbury and wife, Deborah Kingsbury, Bronson, MI and Timothy Allen Kingsbury and Nedra Huttenlocher, Jackson, MI; one daughter, Tamela Mae Baylis and husband, John D. Baylis, Hartselle; four brothers, Robert Kingsbury, Paw Paw, MI, Duane Kingsbury, Paw Paw, MI, Jerry Kingsbury, Kalamazoo, MI, and John Kingsbury, Kalamazoo, MI; one sister, Pam Ruddick, Vicksburg, MI; and five grandchildren, Dustin Kingsbury, Amanda Kingsbury, Chase Kingsbury, Brandon Kingsbury and Brady Baylis.
Pallbearers will be Dustin Kingsbury, Amanda Kingsbury, Chase Kingsbury, Brandon Kingsbury and Brady Baylis.
