William Storey Obituary

Spencer – William C. Storey, of Spencer, died Monday, August 2nd in the Radius Healthcare Center, Worcester, after an illness.

His wife, Cheryl (Stone) Storey and a stepdaughter Laurie Carlson predeceased him.

He is survived by his two daughters, Betty Schneider of Florida, and Deborah Storey of New Hampshire, grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

He was born in Worcester, the son of William C. and Mary (Levine) Storey and lived in the Worcester area most on his life. He graduated from Commerce High School and the Worcester School of Business Science.

Bill worked in the entertainment business for many years, as a musician, orchestra leader, and as a booking manager. He was an avid sports fan, and in his early years played basketball, baseball and later worked as a referee. He was a member and Past Master of the Quinsigamond Lodge of Masons, Worcester.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, August 4th at 11 AM in Notre Dame Cemetery, 162 Webster St., Worcester. Members of the Quinsigamond Lodge will gather there for a ritual. There are no visiting hours.

Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701.

The Britton-Wallace Funeral Home, 91 Central St., Auburn is assisting with the arrangements.
