Claude Belk Faulkenberry
Mr. Faulkenberry, 76 of Pineville, NC, died suddenly on Sunday, January 14, 2007 at CMC-Pineville. He was born on September 22, 1930 in Kershaw, SC, the youngest of six children of the late Ella Gay and Claude Truesdale Faulkenberry. He was also preceded in death by his brothers Edward and Jasper; and sisters, Willa Mae and Minna Lea.
As a young man, C.B. was employed by Cone Mills of Pineville for 18 years. He went on to work for Pelton & Crane/Siemans for 28 years before retiring in 1995.
C.B. was a long standing member of Stough Memorial Baptist Church for 53 years, and was active in the Men's Sunday School Class. He was a man who loved God and his family more than anything.
He was a devoted and loving husband to his wife of 58 years, Pauline, his children, Ray Faulkenberry and wife, Karen, of Van Wyck, SC, Roger Faulkenberry and wife, Sharon, of Rock Hill, SC, Wayne Faulkenberry and wife, Debbie, of Indian Land, SC, and Glen Knight Faulkenberry and wife, Shea, of York, SC; grandchildren, Heather Bauer, Shane Faulkenberry, Mark Faulkenberry, Laura Stout, Lisa Faulkenberry, Sheryl Fowler, Michael Knight, Travis Knight and Danielle Snead; great-grandchildren, Heather Allison Brewer, Cameron Bauer, Caroline Belk Bauer, Kelly Fowler, Kayla Fowler, Nicholas Fowler and Alexis Stinson; and his sister, Ruby Brasington.
A service to celebrate his life will be held at 2 PM Wednesday, January 17, 2007 at Stough Memorial Baptist Church in Pineville. Burial will be private. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 PM Tuesday evening at the Pineville Chapel of McEwen Funeral Service, 10500 Park Rd., Charlotte.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Stough Memorial Baptist Church.
