PHOENIX, Ariz. — Lon 'Buzz' M. Bezile passed away Feb. 9, 2007, at Good Samaritan Hospital in Phoenix, Ariz., after a courageous battle with cancer.
Lon was born in Traverse City to Harold and June (Spangler) Bezile on Aug. 25, 1956, where he grew up and lived until 1981, when he moved to Phoenix with his wife and children.
Buzz, as he was know to his friends, was employed at Revlon for many years and worked for the Coca Cola Company as a distribution supervisor for the past four years.
As a music lover, he played guitar and was a vocalist in several bands in the Phoenix area.
He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandson, Jacob. Lon will be remembered for his love of life and family and his big heart. He had many friends and was loved by all who knew him.
He is survived by his mother, June Bezile of Traverse City; children, Christopher Bezile and Lindsay (Jacob) Bezile-Harden, and his grandson, Jacob Harden all of Phoenix, Ariz.; sister, Virginia 'Ginger' Taylor of Traverse City; brother, Dennis (Rachel) Bezile of Elk Rapids; his ex-wife, good friend and caregiver, Linda (Jim) Hafner of Phoenix, Ariz.; niece, Erin O'Brien of Phoenix, Ariz; and nephew, Chad Taylor of Vancouver, Wash.
Lon was preceded in death by his father, Harold Bezile; paternal grandparents, Harry and Dora Bezile; and maternal grandparents, Alyce and Warren Thomas.
A memorial service was held Feb. 13, 2007, at 4 p.m., at the Heritage Funeral Chapel, 6830 W. Thunderbird Road, Peoria, Ariz.
