ATKINSON, Alice E., 101, of Richmond, went to heaven on November 27, 2012. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph B. Atkinson; niece, Lottie D. Boltz; and her great-nephew, Thomas C. Boltz. She is survived by her great-nephew, Richard W. Boltz and wife, Diane; great-niece-in-law, Elizabeth Boltz; great-great-nieces, Karen Ambrose and husband, Lloyd, and Kendall Barlow and husband, H.D.; great-great-nephew, Brandon G. Boltz and wife, Pam; three great-great-great-nieces, Kelsey, Alexis and Keagan. A special thanks to Susanne and Paul Keiffer for love and devotion over the years. She was a member of Ruth Chapter Order of the Eastern Star, Virginia Court Order of The Amerant and Hatcher Memorial Baptist Church. She was an elegant lady who reached out to many with kindness and compassion. She will surely be missed by all who knew her. The family will receive friends (today) Wednesday, November 28 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Atlee Chapel of Woody Funeral Home, Route 301 and Shady Grove Rd. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, November 29 at Forest Lawn Cemetery, 4000 Pilots Lane. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Richmond SPCA.
