Antoinette O. Batho, 96, formerly of 8 Morning Street and 30 Summer Street, E. Rochester, died Thursday June 21, 2007 at the Riverside Rest Home, Dover, NH.
Antoinette was born in Dover on August 1, 1910 and was the daughter of Alfred and Marie (Labonte) Drouin. She was raised in Dover attending St. Charles Grammar School in Dover. She lived in Dover until her marriage to her husband, John J. Batho and eventually made there home in Somersworth.
Before retiring she had worked in several area shoe shops including Sawyers Mill and Miller Shoe Company.
Antoinette was active in civic groups and was the past president of V.F.W.Post Auxiliary in Dover and a former member of the Ancient Order of Hibernians of Somersworth.
Family members include her two sisters, Lucia Richard and Eva Ballard. She also leaves many nephews, nieces, cousins and grand nephews and grand nieces.
She was predeceased by her sisters, Aline Pelletier, Azilda Hannan, Angeline Goodwin, Alma Pettis, and Ludivine Therrien and by her brother Phillip Drouin. Her husband John J. Batho pre deceased her in 1977.
Calling hours at Bernier Funeral Home 49 South Street, Somersworth, NH will be this Friday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday at 10:00am in holy Trinity Catholic Church, High Street, Somersworth with Rev. Aaron Pfaff, Pastor as celebrant. Burial will follow in Holy Trinity Cemetery.
