Arlene J. (Walker) Alatza, 78, Anderson, passed away May 2, 2006 at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis after a sudden illness.
She was born May 1, 1928 in Anderson and lived in Anderson all of her life. She was a 1946 graduate of Anderson High School. She retired in 1979 from Indiana Bell Telephone Company after 31 years.
She was a member of Indiana Bell Pioneer Club, Elk’s Lodge, Edgewood Country Club and served as a Pink Lady at Community Hospital. She enjoyed being active and playing cards at Edgewood Country Club with her many friends.
She is survived by her husband, Paul Alatza, whom she married August 18, 1979; three children, Richard B. Walker and wife Kimberly of Pendleton, Dorian Lawler and husband Mark of Castle Rock, CO and Michael A. Walker and wife Pamela of Anderson; stepson, Rex Alatza of Anderson; eight grandchildren, Christian Walker, Quinn Walker, Shad Senseney, Joshua Senseney, Alia Rheam and husband Eric, Jay Orbik, Jeffrey Orbik and Andrea Hunt and husband Andy; and seven great grandchildren, Ashley Rheam, Ryan Rheam, Adrian Rheam, Brywanna Orbik, Austin Orbik, Sidney Hunt and Bailey Hunt.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Dorothy Gray Shetterly.
Services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Home. Burial will be at Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery.
Visitation will be 4 – 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
