Betty Jane Barnett
Betty Jane Barnett, 88, of Minerva, died August 12, 2005 . Born December 12, 1916, she was the daughter of the late Carl & Florence (Vink) Turner. Betty was a homemaker and a member of the Minerva First Christian Church
Blessed with a beautiful singing voice, Betty sang on radio in Canton and Cleveland as a young girl. She continued to share this gift by singing in the church choir and with the Sweet Adelines. She also served her church as a deaconess. Betty was a member of the Alpha Rho Class where she was a faithful servant of the Lord. Betty's wit and sense of humor will be remembered by everyone who's life she touched.
She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who will be greatly missed by daughter Marla Arnold of Minerva; grandchildren Leslie (Vince) Ward of Kensington, Erin (Craig) Miller of Hanoverton, Jason & Justin Haley of Minerva; great-grandchildren Kaleb & Jacob Ward of Kensington and Josh & James Hiles of Hanoverton; also survivng brothers Bill (Mary Jane) Telford of Minerva John Telford of Canton and several cousins, neices and nephews.
She is preceded in death a son Tim Barnett; by her husband, whom she married August 3, 1941, Robert W. Barnett in 2001; and sister Katherine Orlando.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM Monday August 15, 2005, in East Lawn Cemetery, with Fr. Victor Cinson officiating.
