Brady A. Addy, Jr.
LEXINGTON-Memorial services for Brady A. Addy, Jr., 72, of Lexington, will be held at 4 p.m. Thursday, November 18, 2010, at the Chapel of Thompson Funeral Home of Lexington. Officiating will be Elder Steve Myers. The family will receive friends from 6-8 Wednesday evening at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Ascension Hospice, 7142 Woodrow Street, Irmo, SC 29063.
Mr. Addy died Monday, November 15, 2010. Born in Columbia, he was the son of the late Brady Ansel Addy, Sr, and Coline Hughes Addy. He had been a resident of Lexington since 1977. He graduated in 1968 as an outstanding honor graduate from Columbia Commercial Business College in higher accounting. In 1977, he graduated from Midlands Technical College in Business Administration. He worked for Federal Land Bank for seven years, after which, Mr. Addy began his own business in accounting and taxes serving the people in the Metro area for the past 35 years. He was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witnesses. He was a veteran of the United States Navy, having served ten years. Brady adored the beach and enjoyed spending time camping with family and friends. He will be fondly remembered for his love of the sun and his forever tan.
Surviving are his wife of 48 years, Myrtle Addy of Lexington; daughter and son-in-law, Debbie and Vandy Crim of Lexington; son, Michael Addy of Columbia; brother, Ronnie Addy of West Columbia; and a granddaughter, Kasey Crim of Lexington.
