Churchill O. Adams FLORENCE - Churchill O'Shea "Church" Adams, 71, died Sunday, May 26, 2013, in a local hospital after an illness. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Thursday, May 30, 2013, in Waters-Powell Funeral Home Chapel, with burial following in Mount Hope Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, at the funeral home. He was born in Lancaster County, SC, a son of the late Melvin D. and Alma Parrott Adams. He attended Camden Military Academy and graduated from McClenaghan High School in Florence. He also served in the National Guard. Churchill was retired from Amtrak Passenger Services. Survivors include his two daughters, Marian (Patrick) Keller of Huntingtown, MD, and Tiffiny (Michael) Anderson of Summerville, SC; a sister, Starling (Bobby) Seastrunk of Florence; two grandchildren, Faith and Danny Keller of Huntingtown, MD, and two step-grandchildren, Dalton and Taylor Anderson of Summerville, SC; and two nephews, Robbie Seastrunk and Conrad (Jodie) Seastrunk, both of Florence. He was predeceased by a brother, Danny LaRue Adams. Memorials may be made to the Florence Area Humane Society, P. O. Box 4808, Florence, SC 29502.
