Charles H. “Tim” Fisher, 80, of Blairsville, PA died on Wednesday, October 1, 2003 at his home.
A son of Ford L. and Ruth Axe Fisher, he was born November 8, 1922 in Blairsville, PA.
Mr. Fisher graduated from Blairsville High School with the class of 1940 and was a veteran of World War II serving in the US Navy.
He retired in 1979 as an engineer with Conrail with 38 years of service.
Surviving are his wife, Delores L. Gindlesberger Fisher to whom he married on February 16, 1985; two sons, Thomas C. Fisher and his wife, Judith, Monroeville, PA and Scott D. Fisher and his wife, Susan, Penn Hills, PA; two step-daughters, Kimberly Shankle and her husband, Tom, Springfield, VA and Carol Cisney and her husband, Robert, Pittsburgh, PA; two grandchildren, Joy Fisher and Jessica Fisher and six step-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Corra Louise Gould Fisher on August 18, 1974 and a sister, Betty Cunningham.
The family will receive friends on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M. at the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville, PA. Services will be held on Saturday at 11:00 A.M. in the funeral home with Rev. Karen R. Taylor officiating.
Interment will be in the Blairsville Cemetery, Blairsville, PA.
