Charlotte Aldrich Obituary

1923 - 2005
Mrs. Charlotte Knoblauch Aldrich, 82 formerly of 701 N. Oakland Ave., and more recently of Maple Leaf Health Care Center, Statesville NC, died Friday morning at Maple Leaf. Born in Lenawee County, Mich. on April 3, 1923, she was a daughter of the late, Herman Knoblauch and Agnes Marks Knoblauch. She was a retired Deputy Clerk of Court for Iredell County, NC, and worked in retail sales prior to that. She was a member of Broad Street United Methodist Church, where she was a choir member and a member of the Women’s Bible Study Group. She enjoyed gardening, and was a charter member of Lambda Mu Chapter of Sigma Phi Gamma.

On June 21, 1946, she married Mr. Gordon Aldrich, who died February 6, 2001. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Herb Knoblauch.

Survivors include a son, Gordon E. Aldrich of Winston-Salem, 2 daughters; Charlene Aldrich, of Charleston, S.C. and Sherrilyn Hendrix, and her husband Dean of Mocksville. Also surviving are 2 grandchildren; Kristin and Melissa Davidson, and 1 great grandchild, Daniel Noah Davidson along with a sister, Barbara Rizner of Hillsdale, Mich. and 2 sisters-in-law; Twila Knoblauch of Morenci, Mich, and Peg Del-ve of Phoenix, Ariz.

Funeral Services are scheduled for 11:00 A.M. Monday at Broad Street United Methodist Church with Rev. Don Shuman and Rev. Jason Harvey officiating. Burial will be in the Oak Grove Cemetery in Morenci, Mich. later in the week. The family will receive friends 7:00 to 9:00 Sunday at Bunch-Johnson Funeral Home.
