Cornelia "Connie" Taylor Anthony
Cornelia "Connie" Taylor Anthony, 82, of Culpeper, Virginia, passed away at Prince William Hospital in Manassas, Virginia, on Friday, March 30, 2012.
Connie was born to Thomas M. Taylor and Elizabeth Wray Taylor on March 21, 1930, in Rochester, New York; graduated from Oberlin College and then Boston College of Occupational Therapy; was a member of the Culpeper Presbyterian Church, the D.A.R., the Woman's Club of Culpeper, the Silver Seniors and the Culpeper Regional Hospital Auxiliary. She enjoyed weaving, bowling and playing bridge. Surviving Mrs. Anthony are her children, Charles Thomas Anthony and his sweetheart, Marcia McNiff of Manassas Park, Virginia, Julia Taylor Anthony of Manassas Park and Elizabeth Anthony Wright and her husband, Timothy, of Manassas, Virginia; her grandchildren, Timothy and Jillian Wright, both of Manassas; her sister, Julia Clemens and her husband, Dr. Norman "Drew" Clemens of Cleveland, Ohio; her sister-in-law, Dr. Glendora Taylor of Denver, Colorado; her niece and nephew, Linda Fisher of Kenmore, New York, and Dr. Jack Fisher and his wife, Patricia, of LaJolla, California. She also has a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John C. Anthony; her brother, Thomas M. Taylor II; her sister-in-law, Catherine A. Fisher; and brother-in-law, Arthur Fisher. Funeral services will be held at the Culpeper Presbyterian Church, 11 a.m. Thursday, April 5, 2012, with the Reverend Wayne R. Bernardo conducting the service. Interment will be at the Culpeper National Cemetery at a later date. The family will receive friends from 4 until 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 4, 2012, at the Clore-English Funeral Home.
