NORWICH – Delores A. Barron, 68, of Trading Cove Drive, died on Monday, October 10, 2011 at the Lawrence & Memorial Hospital.
On February 19, 1943 she was born in Norwich, Connecticut the daughter of the late Peter and Irene (St. Rock) Cloutier, Sr.
Delores grew up in Norwich where she met her husband Francis L. Barron. They were married on July 1, 1961 by Judge Eli Cramer and celebrated their 50th Anniversary this past July.
For many years she worked at American Optical in Norwich until the company was relocated.
She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who loved to cook, enjoyed arts and crafts and spending time in her beautiful flower gardens, which she took great pride in, but what she treasured most was being with her family, especially her grandchildren.
In addition to her husband Francis, she is survived by her children, Sheila Boucher of Norwich, Michele Roberts of Voluntown, Lory Barron of Norwich, Gail Daley of Jewett City and Raymond Barron of Norwich; four brothers, Henry Cloutier of Sanford, NC, Robert Cloutier of Lewes, DE, Peter Cloutier, Jr. of Norwich and Leroy Lafferty of Norwich; one sister, Cheryl Tulli of Norwich; nine grandchildren, Karri Althiser, Samuel Althiser, Krin Barron, Ryan Boucher, Kyle Barron, Kaitlyn Charboneau, Amanda Bendixen, Megan Roberts and Kodi Suter; a soon to be born great-grandchild, Cayden Belsito; and several nieces and nephews.
Memorial calling hours will be held on Friday from 6-8 p.m. at the Woyasz & Son Funeral Home, 141 Central Ave, Norwich. Burial will be in Poquetanuck Cemetery at the convenience of the family. Donations in her memory may be made to the , 825 Brook St, I-91 Tech Center, Rocky Hill, CT, 06067.MAP »
