Elaine D. Byron, 62, of Manchester, died December 23, 2009 at Catholic Medical Center.
Mrs. Byron was born in Lawrence, MA., February 26, 1947 to Emile and Yvonne (Lavallee) Desharnais. She attended local schools and graduated from Lawrence High School in 1965. She has lived in Manchester for 39 years.
She worked as an assembler for Osram Sylvania in Manchester and retired from there. Her favorite pastimes were playing bingo and playing on her computer, but her greatest interest and joy was her family.
Members of her family in addition to her mother of Salem, NH, include her husband of 42 years, James P. Byron of Manchester, a son, James P. Byron III of Manchester, 2 daughters, Kelley Williams of Manchester and Kimberly Papik of Goffstown, 3 grandchildren, Tyler, Madison and Zachary.
Calling hours are Monday from 4 to 7 p.m. at Durning Bykowski & Young Funeral Home, 285 Manchester St., corner of Beech St.
The funeral liturgy will be celebrated Tuesday at 10 a.m. at Ste. Marie Church, Notre Dame Ave. Burial will follow in St. Hedwig Cemetery, Bedford.
