Everett Stanley Adams, a resident of Clinton Twp. since 1989 and long time former resident of Detroit died peacefully Saturday morning in Kalb III Foster Care Facility of Shelby Township. He was 93 years of age.
Everett was born in Tillbury Ontario, Canada on July 21, 1913 a son of the late Sidney and Gertrude (Hall) Adams. He was united in marriage to Dorothy Dixon in Windsor, Ontario. The couple came to the U.S. via Detroit in 1957. Everett Was an Interior Trim Designer for Ford Motors of Canada for 15 years and retired from Chrysler Highland Park Headquarters in 1975 after 25 years of service. He had served during WWII in the Canadian Navy. Everett participated in competitive running and jumping in his early years. He enjoyed building and flying model airplanes, working with wood, was quite a handyman and repaired all kinds of electronics. His love was his family, especially his grandchildren. Everett will be remembered for his kind disposition and his gentle smile.
Everett is survived by his loving Children, Nancy and William F. (Lorette) Adams; his grandchildren, Brian and Daniel Adams and great grandchild Halei Adams. He is also survived by his brother, Robert (Evelyn) Adams. Everett was preceded in death by his loving wife Dorothy in 1987 and by sister Eunice and brothers, Stafford and Lloyd.
Visitation will be held at the Faulmann & Walsh Golden Rule Funeral Home, Tuesday 1pm till 9pm with funeral services Wednesday 11am at the funeral home. Burial will be private in Victoria Memorial Gardens, Windsor Canada. Share memories at www.faulmannwalsh.com.
