Frances Albano, a longtime Croton resident, died on Friday at Phelps Memorial Hospital. She was 90. She was a retired Clerk at Readerís Digest in Pleasantville, NY.
Frances was born on October 28, 1914 the daughter of Nicolo and Cecilia Bruno Delia in Hackensack, NJ. On Sept.9 1940, she married James Albano, in Brooklyn. He died in 1990. Mrs. Albano is survived by a daughter, Cecilia Albano, of Croton, a son and daughter-in-law, Thomas and Barbara Albano, of Garrison, her sisters, Julia Ryan, of Las Vegas, NV and Mildred Calandra, of Holbrook, NY, her grandsons, Keith R., and Matthew Albano, and her great grandchildren, Nicholas, Juliana, and Alyssa. Besides her husband, she is predeceased by 5 brothers, Anthony, William, Frank, Fred, and Henry Delia, and 3 sisters, Susan Filosa, Christina Roberto, and Elvira Filoso. Her Funeral Mass is on Tuesday at 10AM at Holy Name of Mary Church. Friends may call on Monday from 2-4 & 7-9 at EDWARD F. CARTER FUNERAL HOME, 41 Grand St. Croton. Burial is in Bethel Cemetery.
