Francis “Frank” J. Bourassa, 84, died June 11, 2009 in Williamsburg, Virginia.
Mr. Bourassa was born in Manchester, October 28, 1924 to Frank G. and Beatrice F. Bourassa. He attended local schools and graduated from St. Anselm College in 1948 with Engineering degrees in Chemistry and Metallugy.
He was a US Navy veteran of World War II and the Korean War.
He worked in the semiconductor industry prior to his retirement and was a longtime resident of Newton, MA., and Tequesta, Florida, prior to his move to Virginia.
He was an active parishioner of St. Jude’s Church in Tequesta, Florida.
His wife of 44 years, Charlotte Gauvin Bourassa died in 1995.
He was predeceased by 2 children, Michelle and Mark Bourassa.
Members of his family include 3 sons: Glen, Neil and Craig, 2 daughters: Denise and Camille, 8 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
IN HIS LIFETIME: He also leaves a sister-in-law, Mrs. John (Bernice) King of Manchester.
Calling hours are Tuesday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Durning, Bykowski & Young Funeral Home, 285 Manchester St., corner of Beech St., Manchester, NH
The funeral liturgy is Wednesday at 10 a.m. at Blessed Sacrament Church, 14 Elm St., Manchester. Burial with military honors will follow in St. Augustin Cemetery, Manchester.
