Michael, 54, was taken from us way too early on Wednesday, February 8, 2012. He was the owner of Professional Painting, Inc. and was a member of Isle of Wight Chamber of Commerce. He is survived by his loving wife, Ruby Shearl Adkins; his mother, Patricia Breedlove and husband, Don; his father, Freddie Adkins and wife, Clarice; three daughters, Carrie Adkins-Edgar and husband, Kirk, Caitlin Adkins and April Taylor; a son, Travis Taylor and wife, Crystal; two sisters, Michelle Adkins and Donna Hahn and husband, Jim; a brother, Russell Breedlove and wife, Nicki; two grandchildren, Stacie "Pork Chop" Ainsley and Talon Channing Taylor; two uncles, Charles Adkins and Robert Leonard; a brother-in-law, Steve Moore and wife, Carolyn; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. A funeral service will be held 1 p.m. Monday, February 13, at Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel, by the Rev. Kenneth Rice.
